Matsuura Machinery Introduces New Horizontal Machining Center
March 05, 2023
Matsuura Machinery has recently added a new model "H.Plus-500" to the "H.Plus Series" Horizontal Machining Center (MC), which can process workpieces up to 850 x 900 mm in diameter. Shorter non-cutting times and more thorough chip handling are achieved through the use of automatic tool change (ATC) and automatic tray exchange (APC).
ATC and APC use cam mode. In addition, ATC can complete the Chip To Chip in just 4.2 seconds by interlocking with ATC's robotic arm and automatic tool changer, which is 24% shorter than the original model. In addition, ATC's automatic tool changer has been developed to achieve synchronized operation between ATC and APC. The chain magazine is driven by a servo motor. By increasing the sprocket tooth diameter, low noise and low vibration are achieved, and the tool change calculation time can be shortened by up to 34% (compared with the original model of the company).
In order to properly handle the chip, the work table and the machining area are isolated, the APC automatic tool changer is improved, and the amount of chip scattering is reduced. In addition, the inclination angle of the Z-axis slide is set to 30 degrees (three times that of the original model of the company), and the chips can fall more smoothly into the spiral conveyor (Spiral Conveyor).
The H.Plus series has previously introduced three models (H.Plus-300, H.Plus-405, H.Plus-630) to the market, and has sold about 550 units. This time, the H.Plus-500 mid-range model will be introduced to the market to more easily meet the multi-level needs of customers.
